I would first like to thank Jaime for featuring me in her Guest Blogger series! I was very honored to be asked. Thanks Jaime!
My name is Katie and I’m a runner, cyclist, yogi, strength training fanatic, healthy chef, blogger, and the owner of She Rocks Fitness.
I am a NASM certified Personal Trainer, who graduated from the College of William and Mary, where I played Division I field hockey. After working many years in the corporate world, I realized that this was not what I wanted to do. So when I was laid off, it was time to pursue my passion.
I am now the owner of She Rocks Fitness, which is a Personal training, At-Home Training, On-Line Training, and Boot Camp fitness company that is geared toward women. My goal is to make women feel strong, confident, and healthy, while learning to enjoy the benefits of working out and eating well. You can read more about She Rocks Fitness on my website.
When I first started She Rocks Fitness, I was a newbie to the social networking scene. I honestly did not know where to even start, but knew that this was an important factor to the success of my company, so I dove in. I have educated myself through this process, but have also gotten a tremendous amount of help from other fitness related bloggers, friends, and family. I learn something new everyday and have enjoyed it every step of the way.
The She Rocks Fitness Facebook page and blog have helped my company grow in ways I had never imagined. Even though She Rocks Fitness is based in New Jersey, I have fans and clients all over the country. These marketing tools have allowed me to reconnect with old friends, new friends, gain new clients, sample products, meet other small business owners…The list goes on and on.
The best part of social marketing is that I truly enjoy it.
I look forward to writing new posts, sharing recipes, success stories, and spreading the importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle, on a daily basis. I have found that my honesty and passion for not only taking care of myself, but others has become truly inspirational to the people who follow me. I believe that it is important to share with your readers your accomplishments and obstacles, because it allows your fans to see that you are human too. It makes me smile, when people tell me that my Facebook page and blog are inspirational. This means so much to me and it is why I love this career that I’ve chosen.
