FitBloggin – A non-attendee perspective

I had a great amount of fun learning more about FitBloggin as I prepared for Tuesday’s online conference… see, FitBloggin was one of my sponsors, and without my sponsors I would never have been able to pull off the event.

I have been a fan of FitBloggin for a couple of years and keep wanting to find my way to actually attending this conference. In so many ways it just screams “Jaime” – from fitness to blogging to networking it combines everything that I love about Fit with Flair into a jam packed weekend.

Many of the first people I met virtually surrounding FitBloggin were blogging their fitness journeys and every one of them have their ups and down and adventures. Next came the bloggers who blog to inspire and motivate – much like the audience of this blog, fitness professionals who see (or should be seeing) blogging as an avenue for business growth. I adore these people too – they inspire me to keep putting myself out there.

I do not consider myself a fitness blogger and have wondered if I would “fit in” – but after my research, I know the answer, and it’s “of course I will.” So now, it’s not a question of “will I go to FitBloggin” it’s “when will I go to FitBloggin?”

Before I get any further, one of the reasons I wanted to do so much research was because I wanted to showcase the event for my conference attendees. I had the fun of going through this FitBloggin recap post and in turn created this montage:

Thank you to the following blogs from which I borrowed images (hope I didn’t miss anyone, because I’d feel really bad)

I especially want to thank Roni Noone of Skinny Minny Media for creating FitBloggin and her support.

FitBloggin ’13

This year’s event is taking place at the end of June. It’s only 3 hours away from me – in Portland, Oregon. Unfortunately, it’s the same time as one of my daughter’s birthdays, so it’s doubtful that I’ll be able to attend this year. I’m sure future events are going to be back on the East Coast, so we’ll see when the stars align for me to be there  in person!

If you are a fitness blogger or aspiring fitness blogger,  I encourage you to go to http://fitbloggin.com and look into attending the FitBloggin conference – it will surely propel you forward with your mission!

So, tell me, what is one thing you think you can learn from attending FitBloggin?

  • Fitbloggin is amazing, and Roni in real life is even better than you can possibly imagine. I know that I have quite the flair for the dramatic, but fitbloggin is WAY more than a conference. It’s like, an EXPERIENCE. I don’t know. It’s a something.
So maybe we’ll shake hands in person some year!

    • Thank you for taking the time to comment – you’re right, experience is a great word to describe this conference… it’s something to experience. It is definitely on my list 🙂 BTW, I have seen your alias floating around in relation to FitBloggin, you’re famous!
